Tahoe Food Hub relocated their Farm Shop to a larger location in Truckee and wanted to prominently display photos of eight of their partners from Central California. Executive Director Susie Sutphin and I collaborated on this series of environmental portraits to capture their farming lifestyle.

Spaces Magazine wanted to pay homage to Mr. Wright's only San Francisco commission for the occasion of his 150th birthday. Originally home to the V.C. Morris Gift Shop, this landmark near Union Square is known for it's spiral ramp which served as a prototype for the design of the Guggenheim Museum's. The current owner, the Italian fashion brand ISAIA, has added their own flair to the historic building's interior spaces while maintaining much of the original finish.

This autumn, I joined the hard-working picking crews before sunrise for the harvest at a number of Napa vineyards. I followed the grapes into three wineries to witness the sorting, crushing & pressing operations that begin the grapes journey into this year's vintage wine. As harvest was disrupted by the fires in the valley, many of my shots reflect the haze in the sky and extraordinary display of color on the vines that came with a delay in picking.
The second phase of my project documenting the recovery of groundfish stocks in our west-coast waters was spent observing the harvest of Petrale & Dover Sole as well as Ling Cod & Skate from deeper canyons off the coast of Oregon & Washington.
I spent an amazing day off the coast of northern Oregon documenting the abundance of rockfish in our coastal waters. While the species had been overfished thirty years ago, their numbers have rebounded to sustainable levels allowing for trawling to resume.
