Three days aboard Ocean Beaut trawling for sole & cod

The second phase of my project documenting the recovery of groundfish stocks in our west-coast waters was spent observing the harvest of Petrale & Dover Sole as well as Ling Cod & Skate from deeper canyons off the coast of Oregon & Washington.

I spent an amazing day off the coast of northern Oregon documenting the abundance of rockfish in our coastal waters.  While the species had been overfished thirty years ago, their numbers have rebounded to sustainable levels allowing for trawling to resume.

The cottages are located on the shore of Tomales Bay in the town of Inverness, CA.  The owners wished to upgrade their website with current photographs of the units and some of the amenities offered there.

The Haute Route Ski Tour

Two of my best friends from Breckenridge joined me on the classic ski touring route in the Swiss Alps from Verbier to Zermatt.  This personal project proved to be an excellent adventure as the weather changed from warm sunshine to sustained winds to a heavy storm that halted our progress on the fourth day as avalanches crashed down onto our path.

Pendulum Restaurant in Vail, CO

The Plumpjack Group opened two new restaurants in Vail this winter.  I helped them establish an image library of the architecture & design as well as their new menu & cocktails.

Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust

The Monterey Bay Fisheries Trust is a nonprofit working to ensure that our coastal communities benefit from active, working waterfronts and local, sustainable seafood for years to come.

The trust asked me to shoot an image library for usage on their new site and for other communications.
